Three Allen FFA members competed Thursday, July 28th, in the T&D Meats Welders Rodeo. The event was held at the Wes Watkins Technology Center, Wetumka. Congratulations to the Champion Team of Samuel Wallace, Hunter Boyd and Jacob Beavert. These students competed as a team in building a steel saw horse table then competed as individuals in Tool Identifi cation & Safety, and General Welding Knowledge. In addition to the team win, Sam placed 1 in Skills, 1 in Tool identification and 3 in Shop Quiz; Jacob Beavert placed 2 in Skills and 2 in Tool Identification. Assisting the team with their numerous plaques was Mesa Walden. Allen FFA Advisor Mr. Walden said, “These guys are a talented group. Our chapter has only been competing in this new contest since April and the students have really challenged themselves to get better.”
