Read moreThe monthly regular meeting of the Allen town council was held Monday, March 6. Members present were Rhonda Skelton, Dianna Brannan, Delwayne Johnson and Wendell Smith. April Whitehead was absent. This was the last regular meeting that Johnson, Smith and Whitehead will represent their wards. Braylee Dickerson will occupy Whitehead’s seat and the 2 other seats are currently empty. If you are in their wards and are a qualified candidate let city hall know of your interest in filling those seats. New councilmembers will be appointed at a later date.

Read moreJust like last week the place to be was the Quinton gym, this Friday the place you will find 90% of the residents of Allen will be the Wilburton gym. The Mustangs are expecting a full house of rowdy Allen fans to encourage them in their battle with Liberty at 7:30. The Wilburton gym is located at 1201 W. Blair, Wilburton. Fan parking will be located on the east and north side of the gym. Admission at the gate will be $10. If you prefer to buy the tickets in advance you can use the GoFan website off the OSSAA.com site. Only OSSAA Playoff Passes will be valid.
