Donna Meyers Passes Away

A private memorial service for Donna Lee Meyer, 89, of Allen will be held at a later date.

Ms. Meyer passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her home. She was born May 16, 1929 at Selma, California to Charles Frank and Ethel Fern Payne Meyer. She attended grade school in Selma, California and graduated from Santa Marie Union High School. She received an Associate’s Degree from a Jr. College and also received a Certified Nursing Aide certificate.

Ms. Meyer was a certified nurse’s aide, and a nurse-companion in private homes and hospitals. Ms. Meyer embraced all religions.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Howaniec Roth, Andrea Howaniec Shipp and Lee Shipp, and Kimberly Chabraya and Ken Chabraya; a son, Richard Howaniec and Barbara Howaniec; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Jania Simmons.
