Gordon ‘Doc’ Hon Passes Away

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gordon Eugene Hon, who was born to Adrian and Lela Cartwright Hon on December 13, 1933, in Phoenix, Arizona. Gordon’s life peacefully came to a close on May 26, 2024, at his residence in Keller, Texas.

Gordon was a respected dentist, having obtained his doctorate and practicing dentistry for 45 years. He spent 33 years as a dentist in Keller, Texas. He served his country honorably in the Navy from 1962 to 1966 and graduated from Abilene Christian College, continuing his education at Baylor Dental College.

He leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by his family. He was a devoted husband to Marsha Hon; a loving father to his children, Kenneth Hon, Marc Hon, Alexandra Hon Ayres, Elizabeth Valadez Hon, and Bryan Rowsey; sister, Linda Hon Hill; as well as grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Preceded in death by brother, Jack Hon; and children, James Kelly Hon and Bridgette Rowsey.

A visitation will be held at Lucas Funeral Home-Chapel on May 30th, at 1:00 pm, with the Funeral Service following at 2:00 pm the same day. Gordon’s life will be honored through these ceremonies and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
