Imogene Harrington passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 88.

Imogene was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma on November 21, 1935, to Jesse Franklin Leach and Lena Irene (Philpot) Leach. She graduated from Atwood Public School. Imogene married Lee Otto Harrington on June 5, 1953 in Holdenville. She was a homemaker. Imogene loved gospel music, playing the piano and accordion.

She was very social, never met a stranger, very hospitable and her home was always open. Imogene had a special gift of making everyone feel like family. Imogene was very involved with her family and all their activities. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother!

Imogene is preceded in death by her parents; husband Lee Otto Harrington; son-in-law Mike Heath; and grandson Daniel Job “DJ” Sheaman.

She is survived by her children, Randy Harrington of Tuttle, Rhonda Marple and husband Todd of Oklahoma City, Shelia Sheaman and husband Mark of Ardmore, and Patricia Heath of Edmond; grandchildren Tristan Harrington, Derek Wilson, Chelsi Harrington, Landon Sheaman (Jessie), Ana Ponder (Christian), Jeremy Marple (Rita), and Jordan Marple (KC); great-grandchildren Aiden Burnett, Hallie Wilson, Brooks Wilson, Artemis Harrington, Ellie Sheaman, Ella Marple, Nate Marple, Crosslee Marple, and Londyn Marple; siblings Sue Holliman of Edmond, Jesse Wayne Leach and wife Pat of Henryetta, and Clyde Leach and wife Jamie of Ada; and one great-grandson on the way. Imogene is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was 2:00pm Thursday, September 5th, at Allen Church of Christ with Terry Janda, Dustin Rocha and Mark Sheaman will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Allen Church of Christ or by helping someone in need. Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Derek Wilson, Landon Sheaman, Robbie Harrington, Phillip Harrington, Jason Leach and Hunter Nickell.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
