Barbara Jo (Noble) Thomas, 76, of Allen, Oklahoma passed away due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease on Sunday, February 20, 2022, in McAlester, Oklahoma.
Barbara was born on March 22, 1945 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Ernest T. Noble, Sr. and Lena M. (Donaho) Noble. She was the baby of nine siblings whom she adored. She so loved spending Thanksgivings with them at momma and daddy’s house, eating, laughing, and spinning yarns.

After the arrival of their second child, they moved to Mustang, Oklahoma where they lived for eighteen years. After ten years in Heath, Texas, they retired to Allen, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma in 2005. She loved watching the sunsets, drinking Dr. Pepper, and taking care of their “Oreo” Belted Galloway cows.
Barbara was a dog lover, deal hunter, and doting mother. There was nothing more important to her than her two boys, who credit any storytelling skills and wit to her as she would have wanted.
