Rites held for Gracie Holt

Graveside services for Gracie Jean Carpenter Holt, 76, of Allen were 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 27 ^th , at the Allen Cemetery, Bro. Gary Lewis, Sr. officiated.

Ms. Holt passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at an Ada nursing home. She was born December 21, 1944 at Dallas, Texas to Aubrey Benjamin and Opal Jewell Adams Carpenter. She attended grade school in Rose Hill, Texas and high school in Denton, Texas.

Ms. Holt was a homemaker.

Survivors include her son, Buddy Wayne Holt and wife Reneé of Anna, Texas; three daughters, Kathy Lewis, Allen, Shannon McGuire, Vernon, Texas and Debra Moore and husband Tyler, Allen; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Zelar Mae and Eva “Tootie”; and two brothers, Bennie and Timmie.

Bearers were Gary Lewis, Jr., J.T. Henderson, Mason Hubanks, Buddy Holt, Jr., Tony Sandoval and Tyler Moore.
