Rites held for Johnny Daniel

Services for Johnny McIntyire Daniel, Jr., 85, of Stonewall were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27th, at Stonewall First Baptist Church. Rev. J.P. Williams officiated.

Mr. Daniel went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2024. He passed away at Mercy Hospital in Ada, surrounded by his family.

Johnny was born April 10, 1939, in Ada, Oklahoma to John and Odell (Bowen) Daniel. He graduated from Stonewall Public School in 1956. Johnny was a member of Stonewall First Baptist Church, and he was a Stonewall Masonic Lodge Mason.

Johnny married Nola (Brady) Daniel on April 5, 1958, in Stonewall, Oklahoma, with whom he had three beautiful daughters.

Johnny owned and operated Johnny’s Welding Service from 1971 to 2008, working in the oilfield in Fittstown, Oklahoma.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, John and Odell Daniel, and brother, Leonard Daniel.

He is survived by his wife, Nola, of the home; three daughters, Donna Herrin (Glen) of Stonewall, Johnna Shires (Kenny) of Allen, and Kristy Osborne (Dean) of Stonewall; grandchildren, Ashleigh Ardrey (Cody) of Byng, Russhel Chancey (Philip) of Edmond, Clay Herrin (Amanda) of Stonewall, Chance Shires (Jerrica) of Allen, Kaitlinn Osborne of Stonewall, Jess Osborne (Alyssa) of Yukon, Kody Osborne (Mariah) of Missouri; great- grandchildren, Dax, Rex and Zeke Chancey, Jada and Journi Ardrey, Sophia and Van Shires, Hunter and Ricklynn Herrin, Kyndal, Daisy and Kash Osborne; nephew and nieces, Tom Daniel, Tammy Latimer, Kim Lackey, Pam King, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bearers were Isaac Thomas, Rance Kowey, Jonathan Daniel, Trent Lackey, David Wright, Brad Brady, Jess Morrison, and Leroy Daniel. Honorary bearers were the Stonewall First Baptist Church Men’s Sunday School Class, Sam Townsend, R.V. Brady, Tommy Davis, Jim Lackey, Howard Pharr, and Louis Brady.

Memorial donations can be made to Stonewall First Baptist Church Falls Creek and VBS funds.
