Rites September 14 for Jimmy Turpin

Jimmy Hank Turpin passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at his home in Calvin, Oklahoma at the age of 69.

Jimmy was born on November 27, 1954 in Westville, Oklahoma then adopted by Elvin Turpin and Iva Victoria (Raney) Turpin. He graduated from Calvin Public School. Jimmy received his Associate’s degree from Okmulgee. He enjoyed motorcycles, cars and working.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Iva Turpin, and brother Keith Turpin.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Willingham, of the home; daughter Ericka Elder and husband Christopher of Meeker; three grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; siblings Cynthia Gosney, and Bobby Decker; and nieces and nephews. Jimmy is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14th, at Gerty Cemetery. Honorary pallbearer is Jess Whitnam. Cremation service under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
