Norma “Sue” Cosper was born on May 15, 1949, in Ada, Oklahoma to Norman Henry McCarley and Cletis Nadine McCarley.

Sue passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Holdenville General Hospital at the age of 75.

Sue attended Coalgate High School. Sue was a seamstress at Blue Bell/Wrangler for many years. She enjoyed watching grandkids play sports, family get togethers, and shopping. Sue married Leroy Cosper on March 1st, 1968, in Bethany, Oklahoma.

Sue is proceeded in death by her father Norman McCarley; mother Cletis Graves; stepfather Carson Graves; father-inlaw Ernest Cosper; mother-in-law Wilma Cosper; brothers-inlaw Buster Morrison, James Cosper and Randell Deviney; and son Randy Cosper.

Sue is survived by her husband Leroy Cosper of the home; daughters Shonda and Eddy Benedict of Roff and Linda and Jeff Shuman of Bartlesville; grandchildren Matt and Alayna Benedict of Latta, Brady Benedict of Roff, Jenna and Wylie Ransbottom of Ammon, Idaho, Rocky Shuman of Buffalo, Oklahoma, and Brody Shuman of Bartlesville; great- grandchildren Bryar Benedict, Beau Ransbottom and Braylee Benedict; sisters Glenda Morrison of Norman, and Centhy and Steve Wainscott of Calvin; sisters-in-law Ernestine Golden of McAlester, Violet Kay and Randal Miller of Meeker, Jeanne and Eddy French of McAlester, and Jaquita and Rick Deviney of Maysville; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Hudson-Phillips Chapel with Pastor Randy Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Non Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Matt Benedict, Brady Benedict, Rocky Shuman, Brody Shuman, Shane Wainscott, Cody Wainscott, Wes Wainscott, Koda Wainscott, and Justin Lawrence.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
