Service held for Clayton Hackney

Services for Clayton Charles Hackney, 27, of Allen, were 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 13 ^th , at Church of God of Prophecy in Allen, Pastor Ed Rutherford officiated. Burial followed at Calvin Cemetery.

Mr. Hackney passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born February 15, 1994 in Paoli, Indiana to Walter Clay Hackney and Melinda Robin Sims Haney. He was a pipeline worker in the oilfield and he loved to rodeo.

Survivors are his parents, William and Melinda Haney; two brothers, Martin (Ashley) Hackney and Brandon Hackney; one sister, Lacey Mowdy; one daughter, Kammi Hackney; grandparents, Don and Flossie Sims and Owen and Susan Haney; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Clay Hackney; grandparents, Clifton Charles Hackney and Edna Geraldine Hackney; memaw, Lynda Trinkle; and two uncles, Anthony James Hackney and Theodore (Ted) Wayne Sims.

Bearers were Zayne Erickson, Preston Brown, Chance Griffin, Chastin Nichols, Adam Lively and Dustin Mullins. Honorary bearers were Don Ray Sims, Jr. and Hunter Sims.
