Connie was the epitome of a Christian. She spent her life doing God’s work. Whether it be teaching Sunday School, witnessing to friends, family, or complete strangers, spreading the gospel with her ministry God Story Ministries. praying with her students every day, or simply blessing someone who needed it. She was a true prayer warrior. And she loved to tell her “God stories.”
Connie was a teacher for 21 years. She taught 1 st grade at Stonewall elementary. She loved every child that passed through her classroom door. She invested in them, everything she had. She prayed with them and prayed for them. Once you were “one of her kids” you were always one of her kids. She loved when they would still stop in her room, to say hello, even after going off to high school. That’s the kind of teacher she was. She made a difference in all of their lives. Reading was her forte. It was her passion. She made sure each of her students could read, and enjoyed reading, before they left her room.
She loved to laugh. She was passionate. And she loved her family. All of it. Her blood family, her married family, her friends that were like family, and her work family. She loved big. You never saw her without a smile on her face. She was always up for an adventure. She could quote scripture but she also lived it!
