Service Monday for Jean Jones
Services for Phyllis Jean Jones, 76, of Rattan, Oklahoma will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13th , at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada; Rev. Brian Matthews will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.
Phyllis Jean was born June 26, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and she passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Homestead of Hugo Nursing Home.
She married Fred L. Jones on June 28, 1973.
Jean loved Christmas and all the decorations that went with it, Coca-Cola, strawberries, the color red, Nascar (Jeff Gordon), MLB (Chicago Cubs/Sammy Sosa), arts and crafts (plastic canvas), reading (mysteries), bingo, country music, John Wayne, Hallmark movies, watching her grandson play sports of any kind, cooking (she was famous for her super sandwiches, and milkshakes… her chocolate supreme and deviled eggs were requested at all of our holiday meals), playing her computer games (mahjong, bingo, puzzles), going to the Senior Center on Wednesdays to help make the lunch, play moon, and visit with her friends.
She is survived by two sons, Andy Jones and wife, Karen, of Rattan, and Jhon Jones and wife, Terri, of Comanche; a sister,Caroline Hargrove of Tulsa; four grandchildren, Kamran Harkins and husband, Charles, of Comanche, Kacee Lawrence and husband, Mack, of Comanche, Megan Haycraft and husband, Allen, of Rattan, and Brandon Jones currently stationed at Camp Humphreys, South Korea; four great-grandchildren, Kross Harkins, Brylee Lawrence, Olivia Lawrence and KayLeah Haycraft.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Jones; daughter, Linda Jean George; and greatgranddaughter, Kyndi Beth Harkins.
Bearers will be Andy Jones, Jhon Jones, Allen Haycraft, Brandon Jones and Charles Harkins. Honorary bearers will be Buddy Daniels and David Wyche.
