Service Saturday for Tommy Carr
Tommy Levon Carr passed away in Seminole, Oklahoma on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the age of 74 years.
Tommy was the son of Charles Levon Carr and Freda Pauline (Orr) Carr, born on June 13, 1948, in Alameda, California. He was brought up in Oklahoma in the Calvin and Holdenville area, and graduated Moss High School in 1966. He worked for more than forty years with the International Environmental Corporation, and also in the peanut industry. He owned and operated the Airport Bar in Holdenville. He enjoyed watching sports and horse races, and loved gambling on everything.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pauline Carr, and a brother, Charles Homer Carr, deceased at age five.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Connie Carr of Leavenworth, Kansas; two nieces, Jenelle DeFries (Cullen) of Seminole, and Danette Funkhouser (Brandon) of Hobart; two nephews, Matthew Carr and Daniel Carr, both of Lawrence, Kansas; great-nieces and nephew, Makaylia Hill (financé Matt Crabtree) and Mylam DeFries, all of Seminole, Kya Funkhouser and Tinley Funkhouser, both of Hobart; other family members and many friends.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, 1:00 pm at Calvin Cemetery Chapel, with Cullen DeFries officiating.
