Services Friday for Joe Ann Hogue
Graveside services for Joe Ann Hogue, 95, of Allen are 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 28 th , at the Allen Cemetery, Rev. Coy Howry will officiate. Friends and family may call at the Allen Chapel from 4:00 p.m. Thursday until service time.
Mrs. Hogue passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at an Ada hospital. She was born February 19, 1925 at Allen to William Whitt and Elsie Mae Kemp Gardner. She graduated from Allen High School in 1943.
She married Thomas Allen Hogue on November 29, 1944. He preceded her in death April 29, 2000. Mrs. Hogue was FOR THE WEEK – (OCAN022320 a homemaker and of the Baptist faith and a Ruth Sunday School Class of the Allen First Baptist Church. Joe Ann was a longtime active member of the Allen Kappa Delta sorority.
Joe Ann loved sports and played basketball and softball in high school and intermural after graduation. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed displaying her trophies especially one for a 300 game. She loved watching football, working in her flower garden and was a fabulous cook making delicious coconut cream pies for her family. Joe Ann was a master at crossword puzzles.

Survivors include a daughter, Paula Sue Snider and her favorite son-inlaw Roy of Allen; two sons, Thomas “Skeeter” Hogue of Allen, and Terry Hogue of Longview, Texas; five grandchildren Kirby Hogue of Choctaw, Thomas Jeffery Hogue of Lenexa,Kansas, Michele and Kevin Anderson of Ada, Mendy and Chris Koscinski of Norman, Shelby and Will Richmond of Holdenville; ten greatgrandchildren Andrew and Jessica Anderson of Ada, Michael Anderson of Bartlesville, Landon Yockey and Shelby Burleson of Oklahoma City, Damien Robertson of Holdenville, and Trenton Robertson of Crosby, Texas, Lori Feree of Shawnee, Mallarey Yockey of Norman, Makella Yockey of Ada, Emilee Robertson of Pueblo, Colorado and Autumn Hogue of Lake Worth, Texas; and eight great-grandchildren Bryce Anderson, Peighton Anderson, Colton Miller, Shilo Anderson, Dekker Anderson, and Nirvana Armstrong, all of Ada, Keeth Feree of Tuttle, and Timothy Richardson of Bixby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Richard Alan Hogue.
Her grandsons and great-grandsons will be bearers.
