Rites Friday for Francis Griffin
Bernice Francis Griffin-Glenn was born in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Garvin County, on November 8, 1920 to Mr. W. L. Glenn and Mrs. Barbara Glenn-Mears. Francis passed away on March 31, 2020 at 7:40 a.m. at the Jan Francis Nursing Home, Ada.
She follows her husband, Walton Ray “Jack” Griffin, in death. The couple married on October 14, 1944 and Jack and Francis had four children, son Ray Keith Griffin of Buhl Idaho, son William “Bill” Griffin of Allen, daughter Patsy Milburn-Griffin (deceased in 2003), and daughter Brenda Manual-Griffin of Abilene, Texas. Other survivors include many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and greatgreat-grandchildren too numerous to count.
Francis has always been one of the strongest, most loyal, humble Christian women. She was a light to all that have never believed in Christ and now she soars with the angels on high. She is now in God’s arms and no longer needs this worldly body. She is smiling at the sight of her rewards.
The family would like to apologize in advance to anyone who would have liked to attend Francis’ funeral but ONLY immediate family members will be allowed due to the COVID 19 virus. They realize many loved her and love the family, and they appreciate your love and support, but please for the safety of their family and yours, stay home. She wouldn’t want anyone to get sick at her funeral and neither does the family.
Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, April 3 rd , at the Elmore City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home of Pauls Valley. You may send a condolence to the family at www. woosterfuneralhomes. com.
