Benny Bryant Passes Away
Benny Richard Bryant was born September 18, 1938, to Harry Lee and Clettie Irene Hubbell Bryant at their home in Stringtown, Oklahoma. At the age of 82 years, Benny passed away on January 21, 2021, at the VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Bryant served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a roofer, worked on a dairy farm, and at Savannah Army Ammunition Depot. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include one daughter, Neva; three sons, Justin, Jason and Michael; former wife and best friend, Joann Bryant Elliott, and mother of their daughter, Shelly Jo Bryant; one sister, Betty Lee Roark; one step-daughter, Marlene Hopper; two grandchildren, Ashley and Vincent; three greatgranddaughters; lots of nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Preceding him death were his parents, Harry and Clettie Bryant; four brothers, Andrew Robert (A.R.), Harry Loyd, Frank Ray and Walter Edward Bryant; one sister, Susie Jean Roark; grandmother, Nora Nix; two daughters, Clara and Shelly Jo Bryant; one son, Michael; and one grandson, Quinton Bryant..
At Benny’s request, no family viewing or funeral services will be held.
