Rites Friday for Donavon Gibbens

Donavon Kyle Gibbens passed away unexpectedly at age 33 on June 30th, 2021 in Ada Oklahoma. Donavon was born on April 28th 1988, in Hemet, California to Clifford and Jill (Lyman) Gibbens.

He eventually moved to Allen Oklahoma, where he resided with his wife Cassandra Gibbens. Donavon worked in construction, and was known for being a hard worker.

Though he was only on earth for a short time, he is remembered every day by his friends and family. Donavon had a laugh that brightened any room, and would be the first to lend a helping hand of any kind. The family is asking for thoughts and prayers as they grieve.

Donavon was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Ray Gibbens, and his grandmother, Mavis Jean Gibbens.

He is survived by his wife, Cassandra Lynn Gibbens of the home, parents, Clifford and Jill Gibbens of Phoenix, Arizona, siblings Michael Gibbens of Phoenix, Talisa Gibbens of Hemet, California, Melissa Gibbens of Bozeman, Montana, Clifford Gibbens Jr. of Gunnison, Colorado, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Donavon will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 9th, 2021 at The Church of God of Prophecy in Allen, with Bro. Ed Rutherford officiating.
