Margie “Lou” Davis

Margie Lucretia “Lou” Davis passed away at her home on January 12, 2022 at the age of 74. Lou was a resident of Latta, Oklahoma at the time of her passing.

Lou was born August 12, 1947 in Gerty, Oklahoma to Carl and Mildred Morris. She graduated from Atwood High School, operated her beauty shop for 11 years and then later earned a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Seminole State College in Seminole, Oklahoma. Lou retired from the Department of Human Services as a Registered Nurse for the State of Oklahoma.

She loved traveling to bluegrass festivals with her husband and friends and spending all the time she could with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mildred Morris, and her brother Gerald Morris.

Lou is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tommy Davis; her sister Joyce Turpin; her sons Ryan Davis and wife Amanda of Eufaula, and Ronnie Davis and wife Nicole of Ada; and seven grandchildren, Hannah Davis, Austin Davis, Andrew Davis, Kinley Davis, Shaun Diddle, Madison Davis, and Delaney Davis.

Funeral Services were held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 18 ^th , at the Estes-Phillips Funeral Home located at 123. E. 13 ^th Street, Ada. Pastor Reno Dye officiated. Internment followed at Calvin Cemetery in Calvin, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers were Andrew Davis, Shaun Diddle, Gil Turpin, Wayne Morris, Tyler Turpin, Tim Abney, and Ed McKerley. Honorary pallbearers were Leon Snider, Tommy McFerran, Tony Abney, Terry Abney, Kenny Royster, Gene Clift, Jay Lee, Danny Stewart, and Ledon Turpin.

Arrangements were by Estes-Phillips Funeral Home, Ada.
