Service held for Sherry Hinkle
Sherry Hinkle, 62, of Allen, Oklahoma went to be with her heavenly father on May 3, 2024 peacefully in her sleep. Sherry was born December 21, 1961 in Fort Worth, Texas to her parents Ramona Jo Cabral and Johnny M Cabral. Sherry was raised in Crowell, Texas by her mother and her step-dad Avis (Al) Sibert, where her parents ran a cafe and Sherry attended school.
Sherry married Travis Hinkle in December of 1977 in Vernon, Texas and later moved to Lamesa, Texas where they raised their four children. She worked as a dietician and a home healthcare provider. Sherry enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, gambling and listening to classic country music.
After the death of her husband Travis, Sherry moved to Allen. Sherry worked and lived in Allen until she met and fell in love with Frank Walters, who loved her and took care of her until her passing.
Sherry was proceeded in death by her late husband Travis Glenn Hinkle; her mother Ramona Jo Sibert; her father Johnny M. Cabral; her step-dad Avis (Al) Sibert; and her brother Gary Wayne Cabral.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Walters of Allen; three daughters, Crystal Gail Hinkle of Ada, Oklahoma, Amanda Jo Bloxham and husband C.J. of Macomb, Oklahoma, and Angela Denise Witkowski and husband Larry of Big Spring, Texas; one son, Travis Earl Hinkle and wife Heather of Allen, Oklahoma; sisters, Belinda Tosh and husband Tommy of Apache, Oklahoma, Betty Carol Bordelon of Breckenridge, Texas, Gloria Jean Buchanan and husband Bobby of Tow, Texas, and Ava Jo Peterson and husband Bill of South Bend, Indiana; and brothers Harold Wayne Sibert and wife Georgia of Amarillo, Texas and Aaron Sibert of Apache, Oklahoma. Sherry has eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral service was 10:00am, Tuesday, May 7th, at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home with Josh Moyer officiating. Texas graveside service was 3:00pm, Wednesday, May 8th, at Lamesa Memorial Park Cemetery, Lamesa, Texas with Pastor Jerry Walton officiating.
Pallbearers were Jim Wade, Steve Lewis, Kevin Spray, Leon Moore, Tony Johnson and Bill Spray.
