Service held for Alyene Sims

Alyene Sims went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2023 in Sherman, Texas. Funeral Services were under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home and were held on Wednesday, June 21st, at 2:00 P.M., at the Southwest Church of Christ; Mr. Floyd Kaiser and Mr. Butch Platt officiated. Burial followed at Rosedale Cemetery.

Francis has Ground Breaking for New Community Building

Town officials and representatives from various organizations were on hand Wednesday, June 21st, to dedicate the site of a new community building in Francis, Oklahoma. Ground will be broken this upcoming week for the 50x30 building; completion is expected before the year’s end. The building will be used for various community events and will be completely furnished with a kitchen, handicapped parking, and sidewalks. Funding for the building was acquired through SODA grants, the Town of Francis, and the Chickasaw Nation.
