Allen High School Academic Team Headed To State!

The Allen Academic Team will be competing in the State Tournament on Saturday, January 28th, at Rose State College. This hard-won honor was accomplished by the team of Maebrey Wallace (team captain), Keenan Walker, Jack Todd, Taylor Wood, Kelsey Hurt, Camdyn Williams, Brooklyn Sanders, Easton Ledo, Alex Williams, Ty O’Daniel, Lance Johnson and Conner Smith.

Allen FCCLA Chapter Making a Difference

The Allen chapter of the Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is excited to be making a difference in the Allen Elementary students’ lives. This project is being called “Mustang Mentors” and Aniston Weeks and Maggie Yarbrough are serving as the Mustang Mentors project coordinators. For this project, elementary students in Pre-K - 3rd grade were paired with a high school FCCLA member who has been visiting them in their classroom once a month. Aniston and Maggie have chosen age activities for each month to complete with the elementary students. During their visits, FCCLA members will be encouraging and helping the elementary students while also teaching them about informative subjects.
