Area children need to start making their lists to be ready when Santa visits in downtown Allen on Saturday, December 17th. Since there won’t be snow for the reindeer to pull the sleigh, the Jolly Ole Man will arrive by fire truck at 2:00 p.m.

Each time you make a purchase of $5 or more at an Allen chamber member’s business you will receive a ticket and be entered in a drawing. On Saturday, December 17th, after Santa’s visit with area children, a drawing will be held in front of the Allen Food Center. Six lucky individuals will be going home with $100 bills.

They participated in a fundraiser in which they raised money to purchase veterans a new hat with the military emblem they served in. Candice Smith, a fifthgrade teacher from Allen, heard about the idea via a friend and decided this would be a great project for the elementary students.
