The high school football career on nine Mustang seniors will be celebrated next Friday, November 4th, in a ceremony before they take the home field in their final regular season game against Mounds. Senior Night festivities will start at 6:15 p.m., the game will begin at 7:00 p.m.

With the 34-6 win last Friday’s on the Mustangs trip to Savanna, they secured a spot in the playoffs. “We were happy to be in the playoff picture, but we are looking for more, wins these next two weeks will let us start the playoffs on Mustang field.” Allen has a big fete in front of them this week as they travel to Hartshorne for a district contest. Hartshorne and Allen both are sitting at 4-1 in district play, looking for that second place finish behind the Stroud Tigers. Hartshorne owns a 4-3 record overall with losses to Heavner, Hennryetta and Stroud.

Last Saturday Allen had their 6th annual Zombie Run. A total of 90 funners and over 35 zombies participated in the event. After the run the crowd traveled to the park where we enjoyed hot dogs, chips and drinks. We were also entertained by a Story Teller from the Chickasaw Nation, Cheyenn Durant. The night ended with a small haunted trail through the park.
