Oklahoma has completed redistricting based on the last Census population results. Redistricting takes place in all 77 counties every 10 years. Federal law requires district populations to be as even as possible. Pontotoc County did not see a change in Congressional lines and will still be served by Senator District 13 and House Representative 25. County Commissioner lines have some changes due to population shifts in the county. Precinct lines have to be changed to reflect the changes to the Commissioners’ lines.

I want to give the community an update on our transportation bond that we passed last year. The community approved the school buying two new route buses, one activity bus, a new Ag truck, Suburban, and drivers ed car (Equinox).
