At the April meeting of the Allen City Council three new members were sworn in and took their new seats on the board. New members Braylee Dickerson, Melinda Haney and Joshua Marshall replaced April Whitehead, Delwayne Johnson, and Wendell Smith; joined current members Dianna Brannan and Rhonda Skelton on the council. After approving the minutes and claims from the previous month, guest Kim Mowdy spoke. She was concerned about the number of dogs roaming the town. A discussion of the state and local laws concerning the matter ensued. Citizens are reminded that if it is a vicious dog, please call central dispatch number 580-332--4169 so there will be a record of the call. If it’s just a stray call city hall and they will dispatch the dog catcher.

Seven Allen Mustang baseball players were honored during a Senior Night 2023 ceremony this past Thursday, April 13th, prior to the Allen/ Hartshorne game. These seniors have contributed much time and effort to make this program successful.
