Service Friday for Jimmy Nix

Services for Jimmy Lynn Nix, age 74, of Allen, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21st, at the Allen School Auditorium. Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery.
Mr. Nix passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family and dear friends. He was born on February 8, 1951, in Ada, Oklahoma, to James W. and Morita Black Nix. He married the love of his life, Rita Hughes, on June 13, 1969. Mr. Nix was a farmer/rancher and served in the National Guard. Jimmy enjoyed many years and created lasting memories with the band Silver Wings, a passion that brought him much joy and fulfillment. He spent a lot of time farming and ranching, and especially loved working alongside his son and grandson at Nix Family Farms.
His greatest treasure was his grandchildren, and he took immense joy in watching them grow up. He never missed a single event they were involved in, always cheering them on with pride. He delighted in sharing their latest achievements with friends, his heart swelling with joy at every milestone they reached.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Criswell Chapel in Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Rita, of the home; his son, Chad Nix and wife Valerie; his daughter, Stacy Laden and husband Richard; his grandchildren, Grace Laden, Kinsey Savage and husband Joyal, Garrett Nix, Ava Laden, and Lily Laden; and three sisters, Judy Chrietzburg, Janice Nix, and Rhonda Nix Layell and her husband Wayne.
Pallbearers are Chad Nix, Garrett Nix, Richard Laden, Joyal Savage, Josh Black, Jeff Maloy, Kevin Stinson, and Andy Nix. Honorary Pallbearers are Doug Stinson, Kenny Brewer, David Baber, Terry Janda, Terry Johnson, Kenny Cook, Wayne Christian, and Brad Prentice.
