Sybal Prince
Sybal Jean Prince, 84, of Ada, Oklahoma passed away September 10, 2024 in her home. Sybal was born on October 13, 1939 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Winford Winfield Whittington and Bessie Lorine Whittington. Sybal went to Stonewall High School and later obtained her GED.
In the summer of 1955 in Hobbs New Mexico, Sybal married the love of her life, Clarence William Prince. They shared forty-two loving years together until Clarence’s passing in April of 1997.
Sybal loved the Lord with all of her heart, her life was a testament to that. She attended the Church of God in Ada for many years, and taught an adult Sunday school class for forty-three years. She and her husband, Clarence, sang and played in a gospel blue grass band called the Moonlighters. Sybal played the guitar and sang while Clarence played the fiddle. She could yodel, too! She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sybal is survived by her three sons, Rickey Prince, Darryl Prince, Anthony Prince and his wife Kay; her sister Carolyn Selby; her sister-in-law Marsha Whittington; her brothersin- law Stanley Sanders and Leonard Blevins; her eleven grandchildren, two of whom she helped raise; nineteen greatgrandchildren, three of which she raised, Krystin, Dustin and Mikayla; as well as three greatgreat- grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Sybal is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; six sisters,; two granddaughters, Dana Miller and Ashlyn Moiser; as well as her two daughters-in-law, Barbara Prince and Lorrie Prince.
Visitation will be held at Phillips Funeral Home, Ada, on Thursday, September 12th, from 5:00P.M. ~ 7:00P.M.
A Funeral Service will be held in honor of Sybal’s life on September 13th, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, Ada, at 10:00. Pallbearers include Sybal’s grandsons Brandon Prince, Stephen Prince, Phillip Prince, Morre Prince, Darryl Prince Jr, Beau Prince, Dustin Sparks, Josh Freeze, Sammy Wilson, and Eric Moiser.
