Alice was born May 1, 1965 in Flint, Michigan to James Byron Sockey, Sr. and Lurlie Ann (Bolen) Sockey. Alice grew up in Allen, Oklahoma and spent the rest of her adult life in St. Louis, Oklahoma. She was a tribal member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
